John & Lyn, although at a later stage in their life, were ready for a new challenge, and decided to embark on their biggest adventure yet ..... Starting a new life & business in South Island, New Zealand.

In 1980 they owned a hobby vineyard in the U.K., and by 1990 had established the first commercial vineyard in West Wales, which became, and still is, one of the top tourist attractions in the area.

As you may realise, growing grapes in Wales was risky, with unreliable weather, so to add to his range of grape wines, John the Wine also made Fruit Wines, Liqueurs & Mead; and this is the expert knowledge he brought to New Zealand in 2003

Now, in 2010, Johnz Wines and Liqueurs are well known in New Zealand. All made and bottled in our boutique winery from beautiful NZ fruit. John takes his Wines, Liqueurs & Mead to Craft Shows & Markets around the country, and is a popular character chatting to his customers at the Show Stand!!
